Valentine release: WikkaWiki 1.1.6.6
The Wikka Development Team is happy to announce the release of WikkaWiki 1.1.6.6, the result of a lot of coffee and coding love to give you a better and more stable wiki engine. Thanks to all the users from the Wikka community and the developers who contributed to this release.
The full changelog for version 1.1.6.6 is available on this page. Below is a summary of the new features introduced with this release. Upgrade and enjoy!
Plugin folder
The most interesting new feature is the introduction of a plugins folder that allows you to save customized actions, formatters and handlers without modifying default components. Files in the plugins folder will override the default ones shipped with WikkaWiki. This should make upgrades and customization painless.
Redirection on login
Users attempting to write-access a wiki page now have an option to be seamlessly redirected to the page after logging in.
Fast switch view for page revisions
When displaying an old page revision, a button allows fast switching between source view and rendered view.
Fast switch diff mode
When comparing two revisions of a page, you can now rapidly switch between a simple diff mode (only displaying additions and deletions) and a full diff mode (showing additions and deletions in context).
CSS-driven link tails
Different link types are now marked via dedicated CSS classes.
Universal Edit Button support
If you see this icon in the URL field of your browser, double-click and start editing straight away.
New logo

…last but not least, a shiny new Wikka logo!

Wohoo, great!
Thanks, thanks, thanks for your work

Working at http://www.shirlsworld.net/Wikka/HomePage. Very easy upgrade from previous release, used “method a”, reinstalled URcaptcha mod.
Feel free to make an account and try it out.

@Brian:
I’ll add some 1.1.6.6 features before release it.
Franky Chestnut was the first author working on the port and he moved all the Wikka class stuff to the API form of Zikula, now i’m updating and cleaning some stuff, found some issues on the wakka formatter that have to verify if are solved on the development code, and looks awesome inside a Zikula site. I’ll post a link of the upgraded Community Wiki soon.
BTW, where to report this WikkaEdit issue with IE7?
Greetings!
