Not because it's been abandoned.</description>

Which if we can make it work better than Mediawiki  - will end up on the site we're reserved for it -

My first impression is that Wikkawiki is quite excellent - I'm just hoping we can get it up and running ASAP. And easier than than Mediawiki - with no apparent limitations by comparison to Mediawiki. 

I hope this feedback is helpful. If so - we may able to keep an install/set up log and keep it posted. 

Also - any resources (particularly free,cheap, or for swap) much appreciated. We expect that in the medioum-term we'll have money, but not yet. (the diasaster best practices wiki is the collaborative effort of several not-for-profits).
